After months of hard work we are pleased now to launch the latest programme to our suite of motivational, inspirational and self-development courses. BRAVE IT - our new programme which again transcends age, gender and beliefs - a programme of hope for those who have witnessed or been involved with bullying, violence, teenage or domestic abuse. BRAVE IT - gives the tools to build a better future by changing the way individuals see themselves and their worth. It helps them to understand why negative behaviours and experiences can trap them on the wheel of fear and take them into abusive relationships through repeating past patterns. From young children to older people these patterns can shape and change our lives, BRAVE IT is designed to make those changes positive and empowering.
I am very excited about the new training and coaching I am to be doing with local schools, Young Get Smart and Shine a suite of short workshop, looking at self image and forward planning, effective job search and preparation for work. It's where my journey began, back in 1987 with YTS and pilots for National Vocational Qualifications. There were no manuals, no text books and a £200.00 budget to set up an adminstration training department for Erewash Training Services. I can see those old green manual Remington typewriters now! Literally hundreds of young people later, Alliance was working in partnership with Prostart Training and Denise Newcomb whose commitment to young people's devlopment led her to open one of the strongest and most supportive training companies I have ever come across. www.prostartuk.co.uk It was here working with the wonderful learners in my team preparing them for work and a fabulous future that 'The String' was born!
